These figures were made from Salt Dough, which, once baked, is as hard as
any ceramic, and will last a lifetime, as long as it is not exposed to
damp (e.g. condensation). In other words, it's not best suited for
kitchen or bathroom walls!
1 cup salt
3 cups flour
1 tablespoon oil
Water
Knead well and bake it pre-heated 180C oven. Then the figure can be painted using acrylic paint
and is best finished with a couple of coats of varnish.
